Shetland! And why you should visit our Isles

Shetland lies at the most northerly tip of the British Isles on the 60° North line of latitude where the North Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. Shetland has some 900 miles of coastline, so where better to come to see the best of Britain's nature.

Do you want to see otters, seals, porpoises or even killer whales. Do you want to get up close to puffins, gannets, guillemots, or the many other seabird colonies which thrive in Shetland? Or perhaps you want to see the famous Aurora Borealis or “Northern Lights” as we call them.

Or maybe you just want to experience something special, magical and unique... the peace and quiet, the dynamic landscape fashioned by geology, the dramatic sea-cliffs contrasting with tranquil voes and beautiful sandy beaches. And of course there is our world famous fiddle music, the annual Up Helly Aa Viking Fire Festival, and many other festivals and exhibitions throughout the year celebrating Shetland's unique heritage and culture.

FOR A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE IN BRITAIN'S MOST NORTHERLY ISLES COME TO SHETLAND AND STAY IN THE AALD HARBOUR B&B.
